We'd like to help raise the health standards at the Real Standard primary school located in the area of Kawempe , Kampala. The school has around 500 students 59 of which are boarded. There are too few beds in the boarding section of the school and some sleep two to a mattress; 10 of them are sleeping on the floor. We'd like to purchase new beds and mosquito nets, have the school fumigated, and teach the students about hygiene. Many of the students have fungal infections and other medical problems that require medication. Samuel Nghada is a nurse working with us fulltime to accomplish this.
For a child to go to School in Uganda, school fees are required that range from $60 to $300 per trimester. In a country where most earn less than $2 per day and have more than one child many find it impossible to send their children to school. Diseases including AIDS and malaria have left many children orphans with no one to pay for their education. Donations will be used to help send as many of these children to school as possible. If you would like to sponsor a child throughout his or her education,please contact us for a list of potential students and costs.
Our main goal in Uganda is to help start a Ugandan computer service industry as India has shown can be a boost to the economy. To that end we currently visit schools with our Mobile Solar Computer Center 3-5 days a week to introduce computers to both teachers and students and plan to help build a computer center in Kampala where both lessons and services will be carried out. We have donated solar powered computer labs in two schools in Western Uganda.Your donations can help us reach this goal.
