Our Mobile Solar Computer Classroom (MSCC) is designed to address the problems of limited hands-on technology instruction and too few jobs in the technology sector in East Africa.

We are introducing computers and training students in their use by taking the computers to them in their schools, despite the lack of electricity at these often primitive facilities, with our MSCC.
The MSCC consists of a modified Toyota RAV4, three 65 Watt solar panels, one 200 mA battery, 10 Intel Classmate PC laptop computers, and a 3m by 3m foldable tent, 5 folding tables, and 10 folding chairs.
All our material is custom designed to fit in the car with room for two computer teachers. The MSCC has the capability of training over 100 students in a day.
We have developed a library of localizable training software (Click here for more information) to allow students to learn at their own pace following instructions in their own languages.
